This system presented a problem for eBay sales during peak seasons, as it was too difficult to scale up to meet demand during the peak costume sales months. The company would simply close their eBay store during those peak selling periods because inventory could not be reconciled with the existing eBay tools.

Besides the Second Life Halloween costume shop, Annie's Costumes also built a virtual haunted house which features blood stained walls and a maze of catacombs underneath the house for Second Lifers to explore and get a thrill.
